Midnight Cry started out as a Christmas band in 2004 in Spokane, Washington, playing covers of Trans-Siberian Orchestra songs. In 2011 they changed direction and recorded a full-length original album, entitled "Fight For This Crime". Their sound could be labeled "Symphonic Rock", combining the guitar-driven force of hard rock with the sweep and grandeur of symphonic music.
